In the race for governor, students elected Paul LePage, with Eliot Cutler trailing close behind. The full results are as follows:

Independent Eliot Cutler: 5,933 votes, 26.9 percent
Democrat Elizabeth “Libby” Mitchell: 5,187 votes, 23.5 percent
Independent Shawn Moody: 2,868, 13.0 percent
Independent Kevin Scott: 1,601, 7.3 percent

Democrat Chellie Pingree: 5,555, 56.1 percent
Republican Dean Scontras: 4,313, 43.6 percent

Democrat Michael Michaud: 5,130, 56.7 percent
Republican Jason Levesque: 3,873, 42.8 percent
