The Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 6 and 7, auction at Thomaston Place Auction Galleries on Route 1 will feature Maine art, estate jewelry, Tiffany clocks, furniture, furs and firearms. The auction is likely to produce some exciting moments, as rare pieces of Renaissance period jewelry, early Chinese carvings and American folk art come to the block.

Maine contemporary artists also will be featured, as the sale includes works by Jamie Wyeth, Clark Fitz-Gerald, Ronald Frontin, Don Stone and Robert Spring.

The galleries will be open for previews Monday through Friday, Nov. 1 through 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and between 9 and 11 a.m. on sale days.

A complete full-color catalog, with detailed descriptions and photographs, is available, and all lots can be viewed online at thomastonauction.com. For more information or to reserve seats in the auction hall, call 354-8141.
