Maine Media Women will host Patti Corscaden of Newcastle, a licensed massage therapist (LMT), Saturday morning, Nov. 6 at the Mobius Center on Business Route 1. Doors will open 9:15 a.m. for coffee and networking, and the program will start at 10 a.m.

“It’s one thing to acknowledge your stress level and another to do something about it,” said Corscaden, a graduate of Downeast School of Waldoboro and in practice for 16 sixteen years.

Now on the DSM faculty, she also is a hospice volunteer and provides oncology massage at Mercy Hospital’s outpatient oncology department. Corscaden has extensive training in lymph drainage therapy, craniosacral therapy, Reike and oncology massage. Through discussion and gentle hands-on techniques, she will demonstrate how one can support the immune system and enhance self-care practices.
