Dancing4Fun, a free weekly community dance event sponsored and supported by people who just love to dance, takes place every Tuesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the first-floor dance studio of Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education, 24 Lincoln St.

Dancing is a wonderful way to get physical, mental and spiritual exercise. The music at Dancing4Fun spans many genres, and participants may bring their own iPods for a favorite number. The dance studio has a wooden floor and the lighting is low, so everyone can feel free to dance however the music moves them.

Dancing4Fun is open to all ages. No partner is needed, just come and have good fun that is good for you. There is no admission charge, although donations towards space rental are welcome. Bringing a water bottle is recommended.

Lincoln Street Center is the large former school on Lincoln Street, halfway between Limerock and Talbot; parking and entrance are at the back of the building. For more information, call 354-0931 or visit the new Web site, dancing4fun.org.
