The first in this series of free workshops being sponsored by Literacy Volunteers of Mid-Coast Maine  is a Healthy Living workshop entitled, Low Cost/Free Community Health Services.

As part of its health literacy program funded by the Betterment Fund, “Healthy Living Through Literacy,” Literacy Volunteers wanted the community to know about programs already in place to assist members of this community who have little or no access to healthcare.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26 in the community room at the Rockland Public Library. There will be presenters from many of the Midcoast area’s healthcare community such as: Coastal Transportation, Penobscot Bay Medical Center, Knox County Health Clinic and Healthy Maine Partners.

Please feel free to contact LVMCM at 594-5154 or bgifford@rsu13.org with any questions or to RSVP.
