Webelo Cub Scouts from Pack 215 participated in the Habitat for Humanity Youth Build program at the Camden Hills Regional High School on Oct. 6.

Under the tutelage of Michael Roy co-owner and president of PHI Home Designs, and Steve Nystrom, industrial technology teacher at Camden Hills Regional High School, scouts learned to use and care for hand and power tools while assisting with the construction of large Habitat for Humanity signs.

This program was offered in honor of World Habitat Day. World Habitat Day calls attention to the global need for decent, affordable housing and emphasizes how adequate housing builds strong foundations for families and communities.

Midcoast Habitat for Humanity works with individuals, local companies, civic organizations, and partner families to build safe, affordable housing, providing home ownership to low-income families in Knox County.
