Thirty-one percent of the adult U.S. population either uses an online dating service, or at least knows people who are using one? And that 97 million of these online daters are 45 and older? Another fun fact: an estimate of 120,000 marriages are attributed to online dating Web sites in the year 2008, according to a press release from Regional School Unit 13 Adult & Community Education.

This fall, join two recent brides (one middle age) for the class, “Online Dating with How to Work it for Success!”

They will share their goals and successful strategies in finding a perfect mate. Learn screening skills, how to interpret a profile, e-mail and phone etiquette and planning the first meeting. Computers will be used for in-class practice. This is a fun class to expand your intuition, inspire a good choice and liberate one’s life!

The four-week class meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Rockland District High School, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 20. Course fee is $50.
