A “Symphony of Skies” open house is planned for Columbus Day Weekend at Holly Haining’s SeaWitch Studio, 689 Friendship Road/Route 220. The event will feature some of Haining’s work from the past few months that focuses on the sea and sky.

The public is invited to stop by Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 9 and 10 from noon to 5 p.m. to enjoy wine, cheese, cider and fall desserts in a relaxed country barn setting. This will be the last SeaWitch Studio event of the year.

Fall public displays of Haining works in this area include a show at First National Bank Damariscotta, Oct. 4 through the 31st; and during Damariscotta’s Pumpkinfest & Regatta, Oct. 3 through the 11th, where there will be an original maritime scene painted on a pumpkin (sponsored my Mid-Coast Energy Systems) and displayed in front of Maine Coast Books.  Ongoing examples of work can be viewed at holly-mariehainingstudios@blogspot.com.

SeaWitch Studio is located 1.3 miles south of Waldoboro village, on the right.
