On Thursday, Oct. 7, the Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District once again invites individuals to join in the festivities for the 2010 Conservation Bus Tour of Knox County.

Featured destinations include Pool Preserve, Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery and Linita Farm in Union and Avena Botanicals Herbal Apothecary in Rockport.

This tour is especially designed for people who want to visit local conservation minded merchants, partake in low-impact activities and enjoy the thrill of living in Midcoast Maine.

The cost of the tour is $30 per person and includes a morning break with homemade breads and muffins, plus a picnic lunch. Pre-registration and payment is required to reserve your spot and space is limited. The bus will depart promptly at 8:30 a.m. from the parking lot at the Warren USDA Service Center on Route 90 with an estimated return time of 4:00pm.
