In the tradition of restaurants popping up temporarily in unused night time spaces, local wearable artist Cynthia McGuirl will be popping up a Trunk Show in the dining room of Café Miranda. The show will be held Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those interested are advised to be prompt, as she needs to be packed up and out before the restaurant opens for the evening.

Handweaver McGuirl of Thomaston has created one-of-a-kind garments and accessories for her business the Dancing Blanket for more than 25 years. She will be featuring triangular shawls, scarves, purses and shoulder bags at this show.
