On Sunday, Oct. 10, chamber music all-stars comprised of members of the prestigious Muir String Quartet and friends will present a concert titled Mendelssohn, Muir, and More at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St. at 4 p.m.

During their week-long residency through Bay Chamber’s annual Fall Foliage Chamber Music program, these remarkable musicians will coach and provide musical inspiration, culminating in this concert devoted to favorite chamber works by Felix Mendelssohn including the D minor piano trio and B flat viola quintet. Performers include Peter Zazofsky and Bayla Keyes, violin; Steven Ansell and Maria Lambros, viola; Michael Reynolds and Marc Johnson, cello; and Cary Lewis, piano.

Tickets are $25 or $45 for adults and $8 for youth younger than 19. Discounts are available up to 30 percent off tickets for subscribers and groups of eight or more.
