On Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Waldoboro Public Library, three mystery writers will discuss why they set their mysteries in Maine.  Everyone is invited to share a fascinating evening with sisters-in-crime J.S. Borthwick, Leslie Meier and Janet Morgan.

Borthwick is the author of the Sarah Deane mystery series, which includes “The Down East Murders” and, most recently, “Foiled Again.”  Meier writes the Lucy Stone series, the most recent of which is “Wicked Witch Murder.”  Morgan is the author of “Poet Justice” and “Composted Tyrant,” both Killdeer Farm Mysteries.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and is open to the public free of charge. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Waldoboro Public Library is at 958 Main St./Route 220. For more information, call 832-4484.
