On Saturday, Oct. 2 the Coastal Children’s Museum will welcome Lowe’s hardware with their Build and Grow woodworking programs.

They will be bringing the tools and safety gear. This is the museum’s first woodworking workshop and, they said according to a press release, they look forward to see builders make something they can be proud of and take home to show the rest of the family. The group will be making a neat treat holder for pets and learning all about how to handle tools safely while still having fun. The participating children also get to keep the apron and goggles as well.

Space is limited and advanced registration is required. To sign up for the workshop, call 385-1105, e-mail at info@coastalchildrensmuseum.org or stop by the museum to sign up.

The workshop will be in the craft area from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and it is included in the price of admission for non members and as always it is free for members. Please note that while the workshop is taking place the craft area will be closed.
