On Friday, Oct. 8 from 11 to 12 p.m., the Chewonki Foundation will be coming to the Coastal Children’s Museum with their Bugmobile program and will lead children through the fascinating world of arthropods. The program is being sponsored by Central Maine Power.

At the presentation, children will interact with the world of insects through discussions led by expert presenters, and costumes, and then see live specimens up close. The programs from the Chewonki Foundation are known for their engaging and entertaining investigations and are fun for the whole family.

The workshop is free for members and $5 a person for non members. Space is limited due to the size of the live insects and to reserve a spot please call the office on 385-1105, or e-mail at info@coastalchildrensmuseum.org, or visit the museum at 75 Mechanic Street in Rockland and sign up there.

The event will be held above the Coastal Children’s Museum in the Sail Power Steam Museum. For more information on the Chewonki Foundation you can visit the Web site at www.chewonki.org.
