Friendship artist Patience Sampson will offer a floor cloth art workshop Friday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Woodlawn Museum, 172 Surry Road/Route 172.

Sampson will teach the technique for this wonderful decorative art popular in the 18th century. Participants will create their own 2-by-3-feet floor cloth made of durable canvas. Cost is $70, $60 for museum members, and includes all materials. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch. As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling Woodlawn at 667-8671.
