In annual tradition, Ashwood Waldorf School will host its Michaelmas Harvest Festival and Open House on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrate the harvest with crafts, games, music, and pageantry.

This free event will have a treasure hunt, delicious homemade food, a puppet play, and more. Watch as the mighty St. George on his shining stead slays the dragon in the annual pageant. Live music, singing, student performances, and large group games will round out this festive occasion. Ashwood’s new grade school building will be open for viewing along with the early childhood center.

The harvest festival will begin with an open house from 11 to 11: 45 a.m. where prospective parents, grandparents, alumni, and any other interested party can view the new grade school building, the first and second grade classrooms, and the early childhood facility. Grade school classrooms will have student artwork, handwork, and handmade textbooks available for viewing. As a special feature, Ashwood early childhood teachers will present the puppet play of “Gift from the Sun.”

All are welcome to attend so bring the family and friends to this fall celebration.
