A.D. Electric of Monmouth and Rockland Public Works will start the repair and replacement of the traffic light damaged at the intersection of Park and Main streets on Wednesday morning, Sept. 29.

The light was damaged during a car crash on Sept. 5. Stop signs have been in place since the crash.

This repair will consist of the replacement of the overhead traffic light fixture and replacement of the damaged metal pole used in the traffic light assembly at the intersection.

To prepare Rockland’s residents for potential traffic issues during the repair process, any need to stop traffic and/or re-route vehicles for any reason will be coordinated by the Rockland Police Department and Rockland Public Works.

The Rockland Police Department thanked residents and travelers in the Rockland area for being patient as the project moves toward completion.
