On Thursday, Sept. 23, the Mid-Coast Entrepreneurial Development Academy will host a workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Jim Macomber, Microenterprise Consultant for MaineStream Finance, a subsidiary of Penquis, will lead a one-hour session helping individuals find the right resources and path to starting a business in the Midcoast area.

There are many resources to help small business start-ups and the key is often getting the right help at the early stages of a start-up venture. Any individual in the Midcoast area thinking of a business start-up should attend this session for helpful advice, Macomber said in a press release.

The one-hour information session will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at University College at Rockland and repeated at 5:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse Museum in Rockland.

To register for this free workshop please call URock at 596-6906 or 800-286-1594 with a name and phone number.
