Eveline and Peter Gugelmann-Henner will host an exhibition of Eveline Henner’s acrylic paintings, limited edition giclée prints and “Art for Wine” works Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Henner’s Studio Gallery, 16 Wellington Drive.

The stylistic base for her art having been decisively established during her twenties, Henner’s cubist realism has over the years been presented in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions in Europe and in the United States and was the subject of a show on public television.

Henner is a graduate of the renowned College of Art and Design in her native Basel, Switzerland. At the outset of her career, she won a first prize award in a public plein air competition with a large international field of established artists. Besides a large number of paintings sold the world over, her oeuvre of up to 400 paintings is being spread in the form of prints, art cards and artistic wine labels.

Since 1993, Maine’s picturesque coastal scenery with its special light characteristics conveying lucidity and transparency to the colors has inspired her work. Her Studio Gallery overlooks Penobscot Bay.

RSVP is requested for this intimate reception by calling 594-9785 or sending e-mail to eveline.gugelmann@henner-art.com.
