The Town of Warren and Ande’s Variety will present a Gala Concert for All Ages Sunday, Sept. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the downtown Woolen Mill Park.  The concert on the banks of the St. George River will features Bay Winds North, a Rockland-based brass and wind ensemble. Admission is free.

Bay Winds North is celebrating a very successful first year as a performing group.  Some 25 to 35 musicians practice and perform weekly, and some members travel more than 50 miles to play. The band’s presentations feature show tunes, concert medleys, marching music and novelty selections.

The concert marks the seasonal end of Warren’s Sunday Music in the Park series.  Past concerts have featured the blues duet Two by Fo’; country performers Ronnie and Kay Anderson, Bob Randall and the Littlehale family; and bluegrass artists The Rusty Hinges.  All of the musicians are local residents and audiences have grown consistently with each concert.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring refreshments (no alcohol) and blankets or lawn chairs and relax with Bay Winds North at the end of summer, down by the old mill stream.
