West Bay Rotary Club will once again host the Chowder Challenge during the Camden Windjammer Festival. The Chowder Challenge will take place outdoors on the Camden Public Landing on Sept. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funds raised will be used to support local community projects and nonprofit organizations. Last year, the West Bay Rotary Club made donations in excess of $18,000 to various organizations throughout the Midcoast.

This year’s local restaurant participants are Graffam Brothers Seafood, Tim Horton’s, Cappy’s Chowder House, Corner Shop Restaurant, Quarry Hill, Blue Sky Cantina, Bayview Lobster, Village Restaurant and Rockport Roadhouse. Each diner will vote for his or her favorite chowder and the winners will be chosen after the ballots are tallied. This is a wonderful opportunity for the public to support their favorite restaurant and chef.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger and can be purchased on the day of the event. For more information visit westbayrotaryofmaine.org or contact Mark Masterson at dmmasterson@hotmail.com or 236-7997.
