An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Camden Police Department reported the following activity from Aug. 15 to Aug. 19.

Aug. 15

Officer Allen Weaver conducted a radar detail throughout town.

Officer Brook Hartshorn responded to Pearl Street for a suspicious person complaint. The individual was moved along.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Washington Street for a well-being check. The individual was located and all set.

Officer Weaver responded to Belfast Road for a residential alarm.

Officer John Tooley responded to Elm Street for an erratic vehicle complaint. The officer located the vehicle and the driver was warned for operation.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Elm Street for a nuisance complaint. The situation was resolved.

Denny Winchenbach, 36, of Camden was arrested for violation of conditions of release.

Christopher Fowler, 21, of Camden was arrested for operating under the influence.

Aug. 16

Officer Tooley responded to Pleasant Street for a utility problem. The responsible parties were notified.

Officer Cody Laite responded to Washington Street for a suspicious person complaint. The situation was resolved.

Officer Laite responded to Melvin Heights Road for an animal problem.

Officer Laite responded to Beaucaire Avenue for a theft complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Officer Laite responded to Union Street for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Union Street for an erratic vehicle complaint. The officer was not able to locate the vehicle.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Union Street for a nuisance complaint. No violations were found.

Aug. 17

Officer Tooley responded to Hosmer Pond Road with the Camden Fire Department for a fire call.

Lt. Randy Gagne responded to Main Street for a suspicious person complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Lt. Gagne responded to Union Street with the Camden Fire Department for a fire call.

Officer Laite responded to Alden Street for a suspicious person complaint. The officer located the individuals who were working in the area.

Sgt. Jason Hall responded to Melvin Heights Road for a three-vehicle accident with minor injuries.

Chief Phil Roberts responded to Bay View Street for a business alarm.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Elm Street for an alcohol offense. Lisa Littlefield, 34, of Searsport was issued a summons for having an open container while operating a motor vehicle and having a child under 40 pounds not in a child seat.

Holly Beaupre, 25, of Warren was arrested for intentionally failing to give correct name and for violation of conditions of release and an outstanding warrant.

Aug. 18

Officer Laite conducted a radar detail on Rawson Avenue.

Officer Laite responded to Belfast Road for an erratic vehicle complaint. The driver was warned for operation.

Officer Laite responded to Chestnut Street for a residential alarm.

Officer Laite responded to Washington Street for a theft complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Sgt. Hall received a report of speeding vehicles on Park Street. Extra patrols have been scheduled in the area.

Sgt. Hall responded to Elm Street to assist the Maine State Police with locating a vehicle.

Officer Tooley responded to Mt. Battie Street for a suspicious person complaint. The individual left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.

Sgt. Hall responded to Main Street for an animal welfare complaint. The officer was not able to locate the animals.

Adam Fetterman, 21, of Camden was issued a summons for a seat-belt violation.

Alexander Liem, 17, of Massachusetts was issued a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Aug. 19

Officer Tooley responded to Beaucaire Avenue with the Camden Fire Department for a fire alarm.

Officer Curt Andrick conducted a radar detail on Mountain Street.

Officer Paul Spear responded to Belfast Road for a traffic hazard complaint. The officer did not locate a hazard.

Officer Spear responded to Bay View Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Nothing out of the ordinary was found.

Officer Spear responded to Elm Street for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.

Officer Weaver responded to Pearl Street for a theft complaint. The situation was resolved.

Officer Weaver responded to Limerock Street for a nuisance complaint. The situation was resolved.

Sgt. Hall responded to Elm Street for a suspicious person complaint. The individual left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.

Sgt. Hall responded to High Street to assist a citizen with a disabled vehicle.

Officer Weaver responded to Elm Street with the Camden Fire Department for a fire call.

Officer Weaver responded to Washington Street for a suspicious person complaint. The officer was not able to locate the individual involved.
