The Monday night blues will continue Monday, Sept. 6 at Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Harper will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission at the door will be $15.

Blues musician Harper was born in England, grew up in Australia and moved to the United States to pursue his love of this African-American indigenous American art form. Along the way, he was profoundly influenced by encounters with the people and cultures of Australian aborigines and Native Americans. Harper has combined these experiences with his musical talent to create a heady mix of roots music — a mix that includes the didgeridoo.

Harper’s latest release, “Stand Together,” displays his trademark virtuoso harp performances, distinctive instrumentation, deeply soulful grooves and instantly memorable songs, providing a prime example of why his blues occupies a category all its own.
