Dowling Walsh Gallery, 537 Main St., will host two solo exhibitions in September. the public is invited to an opening reception for both Friday, Sept. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Gallery artist Connie Hayes’ exhibition will run through Saturday, Sept. 25. On Saturday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m., Hayes will give a presentation titled Up Close at the nearby Strand Theatre. This event is free and open to the public.

The second exhibition, for gallery artist Robert Pollien, also will run through Saturday, Sept. 25. A small feature preview of Pollien’s new paintings will be on display.

Dowling Walsh also is partnering with Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor for an exhibition of featured artist Susan Headley Van Campen. This work was hung Aug. 23 by Dowling Walsh Gallery and will be displayed at the gardens through Sept. 12. The public is invited to a reception at CMBG Thursday, Aug. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.
