Yvonne Jacquette, whose solo exhibition combining paintings, pastels and prints currently is on view at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, will discuss her work in a public conversation titled Point Counterpoint with Katherine Bradford, a distinguished artist colleague, Friday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at CMCA, 162 Russell Ave.

Longtime friends, Jacquette and Bradford share much in common. Both are longtime residents of Maine and New York City, exhibit at prestigious New York galleries and have taught at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Tickets will be $10 at the door, free for members. The Center for Maine Contemporary Art is a nonprofit organization advancing contemporary art in Maine through exhibitions and educational programs.
