The Monday night blues will continue Monday, Aug. 23 at Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Professor Louie and the Crowmatix will play from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission at the door will be $10.

The Woodstock, N.Y., band has been recording and touring nationally for going on 10 years. In addition to their own albums, more than half a dozen, they recorded as Rick Danko’s backing band on his critically acclaimed CD “Times Like These” and were the featured musicians on Garth Hudson’s solo CD “The Sea To The North.” The band has created its own definition of Americana, blending timeless rock, country, blues and New Orleans-influenced originals.

Next up in the series is Kenny Neal, Aug 30. A special treat is being offered Tuesday, Aug. 31. Blues piano star Marcia Ball usually plays big venues – locally, she has been at the North Atlantic Blues Festival in Harbor Park and the Camden Opera House – but for one night only, she will play an intimate evening at the Time Out Pub. Tickets are limited to 100 for this special event and they cost $35; call 596-6055 or send e-mail to bluesman@midcoast.com to reserve.
