The Cushing Readers will present a rehearsed reading of Hugh Aaron’s play “A Raging Flame” Sunday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Cushing Broad Cove Church, Pleasant Point Road.

The timely full-length play is about business, a recession, an uncooperative business partner, an unhappy marriage, a demanding mistress, a scheming deal-maker and disgruntled employees. CEO Sam Benson is determined to make his company a success amid all the chaos.

Co-directed by Marian Swan and the playwright, the cast consists of Geoff Lewis, Win Reber, John Blackford, Thom Buescher, Trish Weisbrot, Carol Reber, Jim Lynch, Bill Aboud, Chet Knowles, Rick Klepfer and Joie Willimetz.
