The Missing Children Alert Program, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, will hold a Fingerprint Photo I.D. session Saturday, Aug. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Wal-Mart, 256 Camden St./Route 1.

A passport-type photo will be taken of a participating child, along with fingerprints, and both will be put on a card with other pertinent information. Parents will keep possession of the card and information regarding the child’s identity, which can be supplied to the proper agencies and law enforcement offices in the event the child should ever go missing.

The Missing Children Alert Program has its national headquarters in Maine and offices in other states and provides awareness programs such as Saturday’s session for parents and children free of charge, around the country. For more information, call 800-330-2461.
