Midcoast singer/songwriter David Dodson will being his dynamic performance and songs to the Awakening Passion, Peace, and Abundance event at Hope Peace Ceremonies, 379 Hatchet Mountain Road, Tuesday, Aug. 24.

Shawn Madden, 21st-century troubadour of Austin, Texas, will emcee the intimate evening of inspirational boogie. The evening promises to be part variety show, part house concert and all fun. Anna Mather will introduce her spoken word songs to complete the bill.

Awakening Passion, Peace, and Abundance is a Human Party Project, created by Madden as a world-wide movement to bring new possibility through music and community. Awakenings are dynamic performances filled with great song, lively conversation and spontaneous eruptions of crowd participation. Attendees are invited to bring their instruments, voices and feet for a jam session following the performance.

Awakening participants are advised to bring a bag supper and lawn chairs or blankets for this outdoor event, which will be held rain or shine (it will be moved indoors if necessary); and to carpool. The event will benefit Hope Peace Chamber, a project dedicated to world peace one person at a time.
