The Bath-based Kennebec Company, comprised of Maine artisan craftsman and designers, will introduce its latest line of period-inspired cabinetry at the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbor Show Friday through Sunday, Aug. 13 through 15 in Rockland Harbor Park.

International Style, the newest Signature Kennebec design, blends the new with the old. The Kennebec Company first launched the International Style cabinetry on the worldwide stages of the Architectural Digest Show in Manhattan and the Kitchen, Bed and Bath Show in Birmingham, England.

Dave Leonard, owner and founder of The Kennebec Company, said it is time to complete the circle by adding a contemporary period style: “We chose New York City and Birmingham, England to introduce it. Now we are unveiling it in our home state of Maine.”

According to Leonard, the International Style was inspired by the discipline of the Shaker movement, where form always followed function. Sleek in style, contemporary in appearance, it also supports environmental sustainability via water-based finishes, low-odor, zero VOC latex paints, lumber harvested using sustainable practices and plywood using no-added-formaldehyde resins.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12 at the gate, free younger than 12, and includes admission to all show events. No pets are allowed on show grounds. For a complete show schedule, visit maineboats.com.
