Internationally renowned artist Barbara Ernst Prey will sign copies of her new book “Soliloquy” Saturday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. at Blue Water Fine Arts, Main Street/Route 131.

Prey’s exhibit “Soliloquy: Meditations on the Environment” runs through Sunday, Aug. 15. During the show, Prey will be supporting Audubon’s Gulf Oil Spill Response efforts with a silent auction of her limited edition print “Columbia Tribute,” one of her four NASA commissions currently on exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center. The print silent auction has been extended to Sunday.

Prey’s paintings can be found in major public collections including the Brooklyn Museum, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the White House. In addition, several of her works are exhibited at the Kennedy Space Center and United States Embassies abroad. An esteemed figure in the art world, Prey was appointed by the President to the National Council on the Arts, the advisory board of The National Endowment for the Arts. She also was invited to moderate a Women at the Helm of American Art panel in New York City.
