Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s Aldermere Farm will hold its annual art show and sale Saturday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in its beautiful historic farmhouse, 20 Russell Ave.

The yearly event highlights how local artists capture the beauty of the place through original paintings and prints of the Belted Galloway cattle and different pastoral vistas of the farm. This event benefits Aldermere Farm and the many programs it offers throughout the year, as well as local artists.

The paintings and prints will be on display and for sale throughout the day. This year’s show once again having Maine coastal scene paintings, which will help highlight the 40 years of great work Maine Coast Heritage Trust has put into preserving properties along the coast.

The Aldermere Art Show and Sale consists of fun and traditional pieces, so there are a wide variety of paintings to choose from. The public is welcome to this free event and is encouraged to come and see how local artists have captured these picturesque cows. More than 200 pieces of artwork will be on display from more than 40 local artists. Also available during the event will be numerous Belted Galloway items from T-shirts and hats to magnets and stuffed animal Belties.
