Two Midcoast United States Tennis Association League teams will take the courts next weekend to play in the USTA Adult League Districts in the Portland area and Western Massachusetts.

The 3.5 team, with a 10-2 record, will compete in the Portland area and the 3.0 squad will be in Massachusetts. Both of the local teams play out of the Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport.

The teams will play on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 6-7, and the top teams will continue play on Sunday, Aug. 8.

The teams will compete against other players from the district, which includes Eastern Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine.

The local 3.5 squad includes Andy Robinson, Drew Lyman, Elias Tucker, Chris Coakley, Randy Cutri, Mer Doucette, Larry Sterrs, John Cameron, Eric Ammarell and Noah Capetta-Coach.

The local 3.0 team is made up of Ross Libby, Hollis Tedford, Jestin Merchant, Jeff Jones, Peter Pfister, John Davidson, Doug Courtney, Alec Libby, Tom Morrison and Mark Wallach.

Winners from the districts will move onto the New England regional Friday through Sunday, Aug. 27-29 in Massachusetts.
