The now-legendary Vose Library Book and Bake Sale will take place Saturday, Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Union’s historic Common. This year’s sale will feature thousands of good-quality, lightly used paperback and hardcover books, for adults and children, at fire-sale prices. All titles will be sorted by subject and genre to make selection easier.

After browsing the book tables, book lovers can grab a cup of coffee or lemonade and some delicious homemade baked goodies from the bake table. Proceeds of the Book and Bake Sale will benefit Vose Library.

Donations of good quality used books will be accepted through Aug. 7. Vose Library is unable to accept donations of magazines, encyclopedia sets, textbooks or Reader’s Digest Condensed books. Donations can be dropped off at Vose Library during library hours or other arrangements can be made by calling Carol Watier at 785-4730.
