The nonprofit Bay Chamber Concerts and a number of Rockland food venues are teaming up to make Wednesday evening Date Night in Rockland during the month of August.

During the summer, Bay Chamber Concerts presents a musical program Wednesdays at 8 p.m. at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St. During August, any individual who presents a Bay Chamber Concert ticket on a Wednesday for that evening’s concert at any of the participating Rockland restaurants and businesses will receive a special date night offer.

The Date Night in Rockland offers are as follows: at The Pearl, one complimentary appetizer and one complimentary dessert with the purchase of two entrees; at Café Miranda, free Rock City coffee or tea plus a small house-made ice cream or sorbetto; at In Good Company, a three-courses-in-an-hour menu for $25 for concertgoers; at Rustica, homemade truffles with an espresso or cappuccino; at Amalfi, $14 per couple or $7 individual off the price of dinner (tip must be appropriate to pre-discount price); at Fiore (open to 7 p.m.), a complimentary extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar packaged in 60 ml tasting bottles; Rock City Books & Coffee, a special desert focused around the Wednesday evening concert; and the Black Bull, a complimentary glass of wine.

In addition, any individual who presents a receipt dated that day (Wednesday) from any of the participating Date Night venues at the Bay Chamber box office will receive 50 percent off that evening’s concert ticket. This offer is not available on previous ticket purchases or sold-out concerts with standby waiting lists.  On Wednesday evenings, the Bay Chamber box office is open at 18 Central St. in Rockport until 5 p.m. and the Strand’s box office opens an hour before curtain (except for the Aug. 11 concert, which will take place at the Farnsworth Art Museum’s Wyeth Center).
