The People’s United Methodist Church in Union will hold a Grandma’s Attic Sale Friday, Aug. 13 and Saturday, Aug. 14. Grandpa will be represented as well with things to tempt the guys. Grab ‘n’ go items for breakfast and a light lunch will also be for sale at the church.

On Friday the 13th, the lucky early birds may begin their shopping at 8 a.m.; a fee of $10 will be charged to customers during the first hour of the sale. From 9 a.m. to noon the regular sale will be open for all shoppers. The sale will close at noon on Friday and reopen Saturday, Aug. 14 at 8 a.m. and continue until 11 a.m. From 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday, buyers may “take it all away” for a monetary donation to the church.

In addition to the tables set up inside the church, area residents are invited to use one of six tables that will be available outside for individuals to sell their items. Use of these tables will be offered free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Set up will be an hour prior to the sale on Friday and Saturday. Call the church office at 785-4114 to reserve a table.

This sale is typically part of the fall Winterberry Fair at the PUMC, but Grandma and Grandpa want to clear things out early. Other sales will be going on in Union that weekend, so bargain hunters will have several opportunities to find treasures to add to collections and useful items for home and camp.

The PUMC is located just off the Common in Union, on Depot Street, with plenty of parking and handicap accessibility to the sale at the lower door off the parking lot. For more information call 785-4114 and leave a message for a return call.
