Multimedia artist Shana Berry will bring her  Fofer family music show to the Waldoboro Public Library, 958 Main St., Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 10:30 a.m.

The multi-colored furry Fofers live on the special secret island of Fof, off the coast of Maine. Their island is a land of rowboats and bicycles, tall trees, fruitful gardens and wondrous plants and animals. The Fofer Show features Barry’s story-songs on guitar and ukulele with animated videos projected behind her to provide the audience with a visual accompaniment.

Barry’s upbeat and intelligent lyrics and her cool indie folk sound are garnering praise from reviewers and audiences alike. Barry said the Fofers are influenced by her childhood on Peaks Island.

“I spent most of my time outside in the woods or on the beach, experiencing the natural world. Fof was inspired by my childhood island, but is really the island of my dreams,” she said.

The show is free. For free printable art projects and animations, visit Fofers.com.
