The weekend of Aug. 6-8 is extra special this year as Waldoboro will be hosting its first revival meeting in more than 50 years! People from all over the state will be joining in a nondenominational celebration of the Gospel of Christ through testimony, music and message. Hosted on the grounds of the First Baptist Church in Waldoboro, Revive 2010 promises to be an amazing time of fun and fellowship.

Revive 2010 kicks off Friday, Aug. 6 at 5 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Jim Wade from Damariscotta. The Sounds of Liberty, from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., will provide the music for the evening. Sounds of Liberty is a nationally known singing group with a wonderful mix of both traditional and contemporary Christian music.

On Saturday, Aug. 7, the day begins with a bang as Pastor Tom Rawley from Word of Life Church opens the main event with a great gospel message. The day continues with an amazing mix of music and testimony. Highlights include Fay Christy of Through the Fire Ministry, The Advent Church Choir from Friendship and contemporary Christian rock band Josiah’s Creed. Pastor Greg Vinson from the Elim Community Church in Bath, Bible Scholar Nathan Beck and Pastor Jason Pauley from First Baptist Church of Waldoboro will be sharing the message throughout the day.

On Sunday, Aug. 8 everyone is invited to join the celebration from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for music and message, then come back and share a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share and come get to know their brothers and sisters.
