The Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice Auxiliary has kicked off its 2010-2011 picture raffle. Harry Swanson of H. Swanson Studio and Gallery, Route 1 in Lincolnville, has generously donated an acrylic titled “North Maine Coast.”

The KWL Auxiliary promotes activities to assist those with whom its staff works. These projects include the Baby-O-Baby program, assisting with urgent needs for children; Care Bears, made with clothing of the deceased loved one; rice packs to increase the comfort of patients; and KWL staff scholarships to continue with the high quality of care provided by the agency.

This past year’s painting of “Hall’s Point” by local artist Sue Johnson was won by Diane Bryant of Warren. The winner of “North Maine Coast” will be drawn next June. Tickets are available at the H. Swanson Gallery, 789-5559 or online at Tickets also can be purchased by sending an e-mail to: or by calling Kathryn Fogg at 596-0117.
