“New by Two,” a new show featuring work by a pair of artist friends, will open Friday, July 23 and run through Aug. 30 at Winding Way Watercolors Art Gallery, 6 North Main St.

“New by Two” will show work by Anne McMath and Kathy Lane, two friends and both local artists. McMath has created new watercolors for this show, which include children in colorful dresses on the beach, expressive cats and local scenes. Another set of Kitty Kards, printed from her original paintings of cats, will be available as well.

Lane will introduce new colorful florals. One is of Tiger Lilies and Queen Anne’s Lace, seasonal favorites currently in bloom everywhere on the Midcoast. Lane also will also show paintings of yellow daisies, blue pansies and sunflowers.

This is the second year the gallery has been located at its current location near The Brown Bag and Wasses Hot Dogs. The entrance is easily recognizable by the new large yellow sign on North Main Street. Work is featured in a wide price range with very affordable originals, prints and notecards.

Winding Way Watercolors is open Mondays through Wednesdays; and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 542-5540 or visit windingwaywatercolors.org.
