The Megunticook Riverwalk Coalition wants to hear the community’s ideas for a public pathway on the town-owned trail corridor beside the Megunticook River. A Talk the Walk session will be held Thursday, July 22 at 7 p.m. in the Washington Street Conference Room.

According to Jeff Kuller of the Camden Parks and Recreation Department, the Talk the Walk is designed to collect public input on any aspect of a future riverwalk: what it should look like, who it should serve, how wide it should be, basically anything of interest to community members. Those who are unable to attend the meeting but would like to submit ideas can send them via e-mail to Kuller at jkuller@camdenmaine.gov.

The Riverwalk Coalition, formed recently to facilitate development of a path along the 25-foot-wide trail corridor next to the old Tannery site, includes representatives from the Camden Conservation Commission, Camden/Rockport Pathways Committee, Camden Parks and Recreation Department, Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Citizens for Megunticook Riverwalk.
