An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Maine State Police responded to the following calls in the Midcoast from July 5 to July 11.

July 5

Troopers Jeremiah Wesbrock and Mark Barney and Knox County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Mark Tibbetts responded to a report of a fight on the Crystal Lake Road in Washington. The fight was over when officers arrived and no one was willing to cooperate.

But as a result of that response, Jamie Luce, 26, of Washington was arrested on a warrant for criminal mischief for flattening two tires at a residence.

July 7

Trooper Scott Quintero was investigating the report of a car traveling at a high rate of speed on Buttermilk Lane in South Thomaston. Michael Thompson, 24, of Spruce Head was arrested for violating a condition of release. Hannah Doubleday, 20, of Thomaston was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

July 11

Trooper Quintero arrested Jonathon Hinote, 19, of Brunswick, for violating a condition of release, attaching false registration plates, and operating after suspension.

Trooper Quintero issued a summons to Candi Witham, 18, of Appleton after stopping her on Grierson Road in South Thomaston for illegal transportation of liquor by a minor.
