Keag River Pottery, begun by Nancy and Tony Oliveri in 1972, will have its third annual exhibit and sale of stoneware pottery Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25 at the Ocean View Grange, Route 131 in Martinsville (between Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde). Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The pottery was located in an old barn in South Thomaston until 2007. Joining the Oliveris this year will be photographer Nick Miles and painter Douglas Smith. This is Miles’ second year to be included in the show.

Tony’s lupine and Maine island patterns will be featured, as well as the bowls and mugs, lamps and “Nancy vases” that he has been making for almost 40 years. Recent Montana travels have inspired new designs featuring fish, as well as layered glazes reminiscent of the benchlands and mountains of the Paradise Valley.

Smith has traveled and painted on location in various countries as well as around the United States and will feature works depicting landscapes, figures and beach scenes.

Miles has photographed the St. George area and other parts of Maine for years. He also will feature photography from trips to Europe and Antarctica.
