Farmers Fare and Bay Chamber Concerts are collaborating Thursday evenings over the summer to make it easier for concertgoers to have a hassle-free evening.

Those who attend the Thursday evening Bay Chamber concerts at the in-village Rockport Opera House are invited to Farmers Fare, Cross Street at Route 90, prior to the concerts for a light evening dinner in their airy cafe or on the outside deck, weather permitting. Diners may then leave their cars at Farmers Fare and take advantage of the free shuttle to the opera house. It will leave in time for the 7 p.m. pre-concert lecture and then the 8 p.m. concert. After the concert, there will be a free shuttle back to pick up the cars at Farmers Fare.

Farmers Fare will be serving soups and salads, charcuterie and cheese plates, wine, beer and soft beverages, as well as coffee and desserts made in-house from delicious local and/organic ingredients where possible.

This collaboration will run through the final Bay Chamber Thursday concert on Aug. 26. The Farmers Fare Cafe will remain open until 8 p.m. each Thursday and, of course, anyone is welcome to dine whether they are attending the Bay Chamber Concert or not.
