Open auditions for “Lighthouse: A Down East Musical” will be held Saturday, July 17 at Watts Hall, Main Street/Route 1 beginning 10 a.m.

“Lighthouse” is a delightful tale set in 1932 off the coast of Maine. Playwright John Noel Chandler of Thomaston, who is producing the show, and composer Robert Richardson of Washington collaborated to write this tale of sea, stars, lighthouses and love in tribute to the hardy folk who inhabit these isolated islands in our history and today.

The production, directed by Ellie Busby of Nobleboro, will open the second weekend of September at the Camden Opera House. For more information, contact the director at eleanorcadebusby@hotmail.com or 563-2247.
