Rockland cheering will hold a one-day clinic, taught by Rockland cheering alumni, on Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rockland District High School gymnasium. A performance will be held at 1:30 p.m.

The clinic is open to students in grades three through eighth and youngsters of all skill levels.

The fee is $35 for the clinic. Registration is 8:30 to 9 a.m. Register as a Tiger Paw (intermediate level) or a Tiger Cub (basic). No refunds are offered for the clinic and emergency contact forms must be signed prior to student participation. The forms are located at the Rockland District Middle School office or at registration the day of the clinic.

All proceeds go to the Rockland cheering program.

Make checks payable to “RDMS Cheering” and send to Rockland District Middle School, Attn: Laura Curtis, 30 Broadway, Rockland, ME 04841. Checks can also be dropped off directly to Laura Curtis at the RDMS main office.

It is advised that students who participate wear clean athletic sneakers, comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.

The head instructor for the clinic will be Andrea Curtis, the RDMS cheerleading coach, former Rockland cheerleader and University of Maine cheerleader. She is safety certified and CPR certified. She will be joined by RDMS assistant coach Keely Baum, who is CPR certified and a staff member of Rockland alumni cheerleaders.
