The Camden Select Board will meet Tuesday, May 18 to consider a proposed Small Harbor Improvement Program grant application as recommended by the Harbor Committee.

I addition to that item, the agenda for the May 18 meeting includes consideration of renewal applications for newspaper vending racks, victualer’s and lodging establishment license renewals, and approval of a license agreement with Maine Media Workshops Inc. for filming on public ways and town properties. The board will also consider two taxi license applications.

The board will review a proposed amendment to the Gateway 1 Startup Agreement that would allow that group to extend the agreement’s startup period from its original expiration date of October to June 30, 2011.

The board will also decide on the possible designation of Sunday, May 23 as Arbor Day in Camden.

The Camden Select Board serves in multiple capacities. The agenda also includes the Board of Assessors’ approval of a ratio declaration and reimbursement application, used to help determine the tax commitment and state aid, and approval by the wastewater commissioners of the certificate of commitment for wastewater charges for the period of Jan. 12 to April 10.

The May 18 meeting of the Camden Select Board will begin at 7 p.m. in the Washington Street Conference Room. The meeting will be broadcast on Channel 22.
