An 18-wheeler hauling 70,000 pounds of cement overturned May 13 after rounding a corner too quickly next to the Lowe’s store in Thomaston.

The crash took place after 4 p.m. There were no serious injuries, according to Police Chief Kevin Haj.

The truck, driven by Paul Paige, 30, of Northport, was turning from Route 1 onto Dexter Street. The vehicle is owned by H.O. Bouchard.

Police and firefighters responded to the scene. Haj said the load of cement would be transferred to another vehicle before the truck was righted and removed from the scene.
