Audree Van Duysen and Peter Sayward of Appleton were married Aug. 1, 2009, at the Warren Odd Fellows Lodge.

The bride works in patient registration at Miles Memorial Hospital and is the daughter of Theodore and Darleen Van Duysen of Liberty. The groom works as a professional petroleum delivery specialist and is the son of Robert and Nancy Sayward of Union.

The ceremony was performed by a childhood friend of the bride’s, notary Phyllis (Barnes) Albert, of Liberty.

The maid of honor was Stacey Van Duysen of Liberty, niece of the bride; the best man was Kurtis Van Duysen of Liberty, nephew of the bride. The flower girl was Courtney McDonald of Waldoboro, daughter of Judy and Earnie McDonald, friends of the bride and groom.

Alan McDonald, son of Judy and Earnie McDonald, was in charge of the guest book. Flowers, the bouquets and the table decoration were done by Katie Lincoln of South Bristol. The photographer for the wedding and reception was Leslie Carter. The reception followed the ceremony at the Warren Odd Fellows Lodge with family and lots of friends from Sylvania in attendance.

The couple thanks everyone who brought food and helped with the preparations. Special thanks to those who helped decorate, organize food and clean up, including Edie and Wayne Peters, Pauline Aube, Jackie and Jeff Leach, Judy and Earnie McDonald, Karen Jewett and George Sodergrin.

The couple will reside at their lakeside home in Appleton with their dog, Elvis, and cat, Punkin.
