Josephine Rotondi, 84, wife of Joseph N. Rotondi, died unexpectedly April 8, 2010, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center. Born in Hoboken, N.J., on Jan. 18, 1926, she was the daughter of Domenico and Antonia (Yacovone) Spano.

She was a graduate of Demarest High School, class of 1943.

On May 29, 1955, she married Joseph N. Rotondi in Union City, N.J.

In the late 1970s Mr. and Mrs. Rotondi moved from Ringwood, N.J., to Camden. Mrs. Rotondi was employed as an office manager in the office of Dr. Robert M. Rosenberg for many years and was currently working there part time. She enjoyed doing various types of hand needle work, doing crossword puzzles and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph N. Rotondi of Lincolnville; two daughters, Anna Cloutier and her husband, Mark, of Cape Elizabeth and Antonia Guilford and her husband, Eugene, of Simsbury, Conn.; one son, Joseph Rotondi and his wife, Jane, of Cumberland Foreside; eight grandchildren; a sister, Annette of Brick, N.J.; a brother, Jack Spano of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Rose, Ann, Larion and Mary.

Calling hours were held at the Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St. in Camden. A graveside service will be held in the Youngtown Cemetery in Lincolnville at a later date. Arrangements are with the Long Funeral Home in Camden.
